Templeton & Partners are looking for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Architect for long-term contract position in Darmstadt, Germany!
Ignition Architecture and Design, Digital Factory system interfaces and Ignition database design including customization/configuration approaches.
Ignition Design Reviews
Strong working relationship with Inductive Automation to stay current on Ignition development roadmap, introduction/enhancement to Ignition MES modules, best development/architecture practices and help drive/align future development for customer
Provides a Roadmap/Architecture/Framework for development team and oversight to the Ignition customization/configuration
Builds the long-term strategic roadmap for Digital Manufacturing architecture
Aligns Digital Manufacturing strategy and planning with the company's business goals and objectives, and Enterprise Architecture framework/roadmap
Leads the design and modelling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects
Partners with other solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution
Promotes the use of a shared infrastructure and application roadmap to reduce costs and improve how information flows
Circulates roadmaps to align IT priorities with business partner needs

Scope of Work:
The person must be hands-on. It is a mix of Architecture, Technical and Functional capabilities in a challenging and interesting Support Context within manufacturing. Hydra specifica will be trained by the team. It should be a good MES person.
German language is a MUST, EN nice to have.
Ideally:
"5+ years MES, preferable Ignition, experience customizing/configuring and deploying MES applications (ideally the candidate would have an extreme depth of knowledge with Ignition or the breadth of MES experience to quickly and thoroughly learn Ignition)
Strong SCADA development and HMI experience, Ignition preferred (PLC programming experience desired)
Familiar with manufacturing, manufacturing automation, machine connectivity and data collection, and optimizing plant efficiency, improving quality and improving order fulfillment.
Java and Python experience with MES database design and open architecture frameworks
Ability to think big and challenge conventional wisdom regarding technology refresh and hype
Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
Excellent presentation skills to a broad audience (technical to Executive)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization skills
Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders
Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to take principled bets on new technology
Ability to establish, implement, and enforce appropriate IT standards to meet business requirements
Experience building architecture and technical roadmaps
Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions
Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and infrastructure.
Global experience preferably in a large global company "
