Senior System Administrator - FinTech - Munich

As a Linux System Administrator, you will be working within the sys admin team, based in the HQ. You will be jointly responsible for the day to-day running of the core infrastructure across office and for resolving customer related issues escalated from the IT Helpdesk. The main focus of this role is to monitor and maintain core infrastructure systems, recommend changes and improvements, work with the global Engineering team to implement approved changes and work with the Dev Ops team where required. You will work closely with the global Engineering team, based in the Munich, assisting on global infrastructure projects, and will be expected to take the lead on some more localised projects. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES Support the day to-day operation of the core infrastructure. Demonstrate knowledge of Linux Assist on a large scale migration from AWS to an in house, tailor built system. Strong AWS experience Demonstrate hands on experience of Puppet. Contribute significantly to the on going improvement of processes and systems Maintain and update documentation. Monitor the sys admin escalation queue and respond to tickets in a timely and appropriate manner, ensuring customers receive an excellent service. Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to prevent silos of knowledge forming.
