Big Data Engineer/Hadoop Administrator, Big Data, Hadoop
SCOPE
Big Data Engineer/Hadoop Administrator URGENTLY required to design, build and support a global multi-tenant, petabyte scale Big Data Hadoop Platform.
ROLE
The Big Data Engineer/Hadoop Administrator will be responsible for constructing and implementing end-to-end Hadoop cluster solutions within a secure enterprise environment ensuring full authentication + encryption capabilities (Kerberos, Active Directory, Sun Identity Management). The Big Data Engineer/Hadoop Administrator will also be responsible for a range of operational and project tasks related to the Big Data Hadoop Platform.
These tasks include:
- Design, Configure, Support and Monitor the Big Data Hadoop platform
- Build, manage and tune Big Data nodes
- Administration of complex Linux based systems/infrastructure (RedHat RHEL, Debian, Ubuntu etc.)
- Using Big Data ecosystem tools and services like HDFS, Sqoop, Oozie, YARN, HIVE, Impala, Spark, Sentry, Pig, Ambari, Mapreduce, HBase, Flume.
REQUIREMENTS
- Big Data Platform design and build (infrastructure)
- Hadoop Administration experience (any distribution Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR)
- Big Data tools and services (HDFS, Sqoop, Oozie, YARN, HIVE, Impala, Spark, Sentry, Pig, Ambari, Mapreduce, HBase, Flume).
- Linux Administration background and knowledge of Linux technologies like Chef, Puppet etc.
- Love fixing Hadoop/Big Data problems!
