Senior IP Engineer

Our client, a global leading telecommunication company are recruiting for a Senior IP Engineer to join their business in Germany.

Requirements
- Reviewing, planning and implementation of changes in the IP network
- 3rd line troubleshooting of complex incidents and problems
- Participation in projects including defining requirements, acceptance testing and implementation
- Continuous improvement of the IP network quality

Qualification
- 7+ years of experience in Telecommunications / ICT Industry (Carrier or Vendor)
- 5+ years of experience as a IP/MPLS engineer
- Hands-on knowledge of routers, switches and remote access servers Cisco, Huawei, Juniper
- Deep knowledge of network and routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS , MPLS-VPNs, QOS, MPLS-TE, ETH-trunk, IS-IS
- Deep knowledge of protocols: HTTP(S), SOAP, IPSEC, DNS(SEC), Radius, Tacacs, Diameter, Ethernet/W-LAN/xDSL, TCP/IP, UDP/TCP/ICMP/SCTP, SS7, (S)FTP, SSH, SNMP, iSCSI, SIP)
- Deep Knowledge of network security (IOS access lists, VPN Concentrators, Access Servers , IPS/IDS) and experience with Fortinet / Huawei firewalls
- Global understanding of Mobile Packet Switched Core network (ePC, SGSN/USN, GGSN/UGW, BG) and Huawei ePC equipment
- Knowledge of scripting, word/excel macros(VB) and Linux would be an advantage
- CCNA/CCNP/(optional CCIE) or equivalent level/certification
- Experienced in Project management at Prince2 foundation level
- Fluent English is a must, German a big plus
- Experienced in ITIL processes
