SAP Interfaces (XI/PI/EDI/ALE) Implementation Expert now required by our global Client based in central Frankfurt, for an initial 8 month contract position starting ASAP (latest start would be mid May). The position will be involved in analysis, configuration, support & project activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide PI (7.1, 7.4) interface implementation & migration services to markets and coordinate the relevant testing
- Single point of contact for messaging team involvement in small project work
- Execute connectivity and technical unit testing
- Assist functional teams with functional unit and integration tests
- Adhere to agreed Service Management best practices for Change and Release
- Write technical specifications based on inputs from the functional teams (functional specs)
- Work closely with the interface architect to select the best design pattern
- Prepare mapping rules, interface flow diagrams, connectivity approach, adapter selection, technical test cases
- Perform go-live readiness checks, execute production cutover, and provide hypercare support for new interfaces
- Configure bypass interfaces, setup ALE partner profiles, maintain distribution model, change pointer, and output determination configuration
Desired experience
- Extensive experinece implementing and mainting SAP interface technologies (XI/PI/EDI/ALE)
- Unit & integration testing
- Execution of Messaging Support Operations
- Communication and collaboration with other team members (including team meeting participation), regional colleagues and functional business partners
- Collaboration with SAP Basis and/or other IT teams
- Collaboration with offshore Supplier services
- Ability to transform technical issues into "business" words
- Independent analysis when required to resolve issues
- Adaptation and learning of new skills in a complex environment
- Any BODS experience is nice to have
- Fluent English language skills are required (only)
