Background:
S15 is a transformational programme which will fundamentally alter the timing and classification of our client's revenue across all of the client's operating subsidiaries based on the IFRS 15 accounting standard.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
Overall S15 controls SPOC for finance, IT and compliance stakeholders, S15 project teams as well as internal/external auditors
End-to-end responsibility throughout the project phases controls design, controls testing, controls deployment/rollout and controls effectiveness assessment
Ensure that the S15 control framework covers all key risks arising from process and system changes related to IFRS 15
Definition and maintenance of a controls strategy using different control types as they fit best
Ensure the design of an effective IFRS 15 control framework and its rollout to the local market and VF Group organisations
Strategic S15 control framework driver throughout all of the project phases
Guidance for local markets and other involved parties on questions around the control implementation
Ensure that S15 process, system or scope design changes are reflected in the control framework
Key qualifications:
- 7+ years professional experience in the area of governance, risk and compliance
- telecommunication experience, esp. practical experience in telecommunications revenue processes
- Experience in the active design and rollout of business process controls across central and local organisations
- Good understanding of IT control frameworks
- Experience in preparing audit-proof documentation with respect to audit requirements on the design, documentation and test of business process and IT controls
- Good understanding of control design strategies and control types (e. g. manual vs. automated, key vs. supporting controls)
- Good experience in SOX compliance
- Good understanding of revenue accounting and commercial processes as well as related risks
- Good understanding of telecoms IT landscapes incl. revenue data flows between customer care & billing systems and accounting systems
- Experience in SAP rollout projects
- Experience and understanding of the SAP GRC component (GRC=Governance, Risk, Compliance module)
- Good understanding of the SAP-FI functionality
- Experience in interacting with internal and external auditors
- Strong communication skills ability to challenge third parties or local markets where required
- Ability to influence and manage relationships with stakeholders across the programme
- Project management skills
