Technical Migration Manager - Data Centre - Transformation - Consolidation - Infrastructure - Contract - Munich
My client is a well known, world leading global industry giant who are embarking on a large programme of change across their data centre environment. They are looking to hire a GERMAN SPEAKING Technical Migration Manager focussed on Data Centres to join their team as part of this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Centre Consolidation and Technical Migration/Data Centre Migration
- Technical build of the Data Centre
- Set the overall Data Centre migration/transformation plan
- Set migration wave plan
- Management and monitoring of risks and issues
- IT and Infrastructure transformation projects
- End to End management
Key Skills:
- Hands on experience of Data Centre Consolidation and Data Centre Migration
- Solid understanding of Technical Architecture (will be involved in creating design document and handing over to execution)
- Server and Mainframe Migration
- Good understanding of Operating Systems: Linux, Windows
- Good understanding of Databases (SQL, Oracle, ETC)
- Good understanding of Firewalls (Firewall setup, raise Firewall changes, create templates for Firewall teams)
- Basic understanding of Network Protocols
- Virtualization
- IT Operations and networks exposure
- Excellent knowledge of Storage, Network and Backup Technologies
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, vendor management and interpersonal skills
