It's not rocket science but getting close to it!Berlin is calling for your next career step as DevOps Engineer (m/f) with focus on delivering a mobile application and an airborne server providing the service to passengers via Wifi.
Our client is a highly successful and already established startup business that manages wireless Inflight Entertainment (IFE) systems, which enables customers to access entertainment, shopping and destination services through their own devices.
They are about to hire a larger team of software specialists to develop their next product evolution and take the business to the next level.
Your responsibilities in more detail:
You will be expected to join a DevOps team and become an integral part of this company's growth and development by aiding in the design and implementation of the new version of our application
Coordinate efforts with development and management
Proactively ensure the highest levels of security and performance of our systems and infrastructure
Optimize platform by automation and integration of new tools/technologies
Expand your technical skills every day and make valuable contributions to a team of experienced engineers
Required skills to perform this role:
Profound experience in IT Operations/ System Engineering of highly-available applications
Very deep knowledge in Linux/Unix Administration
Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud services is a must
Experience with Virtualization and Container solutions (VMWare, Docker/LXC)
You are confident with System Management/Configuration tools (Salt,Pufppet,Ansible or Chef)
You have worked with Log Management Tools like ELK stack (Elasticsearch,Logstash,Kibana) or Splunk
Knowledge of CI/CD process and tools (Jenkins)
Ability to use a wide variety of OpenSource Technologies and Cloud.
A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, shell scripts,Perl and/or Ruby)
Have monitored system and services using tools like Icinga2/Check_MK
Experience with Network security challenges e.g. permission management, firewall rules
Basic Knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL
Ability to work in highly Agile team environment
