(m/f) with focus on delivering a mobile application and an airborne server providing the service to passengers via Wifi.
Our client is a highly successful and already established startup business that manages wireless Inflight Entertainment (IFE) systems, which enables customers to access entertainment, shopping and destination services through their own devices.
They are about to hire a larger team of software specialists to develop their next product evolution and take the business to the next level.
A Network Administrator to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation. The ideal candidate will have experience configuring router and firewall operations.
Job Duties
Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade networks and cloud servers
Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
Support and administer third-party applications
Ensure network security and connectivity
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
Resolve problems reported by end user
Define network policies and procedures
Specify system requirements and design solutions
Research and make recommendations on server system administration
Required skills to perform this role:
Strong experience in Network Administration and Network Performance Tuning
Hands on experience in networking (design and implementation), routing and switching
Experience with Firewalls, Static/Dynamic Routing, Maintaining Routing Tables
Deep knowledge of LAN, Routing Protocols and Load Balancing Mechanisms
Problem Solving, Strategic Planning, Multi-tasking, Quality Focus and Coordination Skills
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
