DevOps Engineer - Freelance - €100 per hour
DevOps Engineer sought urgently for a leading multinational enterprise solutions company. Our company builds custom large scale E-commerce platforms for international businesses such as HP, Siemens and Intel and urgently needs support from a DevOps Engineer to help deliver key projects.
Location: Hamburg
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Budget: €80 to €100 per hour
Project Description
- Design, creation and maintenance of systems
- Implementation, testing and maintenance of the DevOps tool chain, as well as the associated connectors to AWS, Azure, Openstack and VMware in the field of cloud computing
- Configuration management using Ansible
- Implementation, operation, and maintenance of operating system images, application environment templates, and related automation scripts for physical and virtual machines
- Operational support through fault analysis and troubleshooting
- Continuous optimization of the systems and associated processes through automation in connection with the implementation of efficient solutions in the fields of monitoring, logging and technical reporting for system and application environments
- Conception, implementation and development of processes in the fields of build automation, continuous integration (CI) and continuous/planned delivery (CD/PD)
- Design, optimization and control of the necessary service processes in the team
Requirements
- Experience with various cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, Openstack environments, as well as the associated automation processes and interfaces
- Experience working with source code management (SMC) tools, especially GIT and SVN, as well as supporting DevOps relevant tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab Runner
- Knowledge in configuration management, eg via Ansible, boss, puppet, salt
- Familiar with dealing with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Knowledge of Java, Bash, Perl, Python or PHP
- Experience in the problem analysis of distributed Java-based web applications in the Linux environment
- Experiences with open source monitoring/reporting solutions (eg Nagios/Icinga, Zabbix, Elastic Stack)
- Basic knowledge of container and virtualization solutions such as Docker, Vagrant, VMWare ESXi/vSphere or XEN is an advantage
