For our client from the Energy industry we are currently looking for an Operational Excellence Expert.
Location: Dusseldorf
Start: ASAP
End: 3 months +Project language: English, German N2H
Required Skills
- more than 5 years experience in OE and Transformation ideally combined with consulting competence
- Experience in building high performing international operational excellence teams
- Hands-on experience of training and coaching others to support the development of new skills
- University degree in engineering, business administration or economics or science
- Understanding of the dynamics of the energy sector
Tasks:
- Act as gatekeeper for OE standards, approach and framework
- Ensure consistent application across units
- Collect input and improvement ideas from teams and business lines or from external market
- Lead on annual standards review to update/further develop standards
- Further develop OE approach and framework
- Support delivery of OE rollout by acting as sparring partner to OE initiatives and provide expert advise on roadmap and results in individual initiatives, including go and sees
- Support in reviewing and improving the deployment strategy, eg phases and activities in step changes and training and coaching
- Support leadership team in recruiting activities
- Support in selection of external partners and steer external consultants in methodology and approach
- Build capabilities in OE team by coaching team members on the job while implementing OE and help new team members to become acquainted with their new role
- Coach line leaders on how to work effectively in a continuous improvement environment using the OE tools
- Coach senior management on QPD
- Lead certification process across the team and units and support processing of Maturity Assessments
- Interact with senior leader across the organization including board level and actively support the leadership team with strategic stakeholder engagement
- Act as facilitator in senior leadership workshops and trainings
- Contribute to communications and community building events, actively network with peers from the OE Community and promote best practice sharing within and across units
- Support leadership team in defining and implementing strategic topics, such as recruiting strategy, capability Building, external support approach
