Role Summary
- Provide onsite technical product expertise to augment IT staff resources and skills.
- Perform proactive maintenance and support to optimize the client's product environments.
- Provide a single, onsite contact and escalation management for product escalations.
Main Duties
- Understand, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve customer issues in collaboration with the customer
- Define, manage, and execute problem resolution plans and communicate (internal/external)
- closure and resolution (Onsite support and product escalations)
- Resource for maintenance & tuning of customer environments
- Plan and maintain health and optimization of clients environments
- Provide ongoing software release planning and documentation the current software in the customer environment
- Conducts configuration change activities
- Provide knowledge transfer on customer products to end client staff.
- Provide regular status reporting on projects and regular proactive support tasks
- Pursue technical training paths and industry certification in order to enhance delivery

- Participates in weekly support meetings as required
- Provides assistance to SAM for product escalations
- Participates in Quarterly Support Reviews
Qualifications/Job Responsibilities:
- 5 -10 years of "hands on" experience with key technologies described herein in the same or similar role
- Service provider background required, specifically with a high BGP hands on experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Extensive experience with software networking interaction, primarily API's, Netconf and RestAPI.
- Understanding of device control, via Scripting such as (cURL, python, chef, Perl, etc.)
- Good understand of IP protocols and their practical considerations.
- Experience with IPv4 & IPv6 and all routing protocols like ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, etc.
- Working experience within Cisco, Juniper environments.
- Complete understanding of the OSI model.
- Experience with large scale project implementations of converged networking products and solutions.
- Must have knowledge of technologies such as Spanning Tree (all versions), LACP, UDLD, HSRP/VRRP, Multicast and Virtual Routing (VRF).
- Must possess good technical abilities and interpersonal communications skills.
- Experience working with customer technical resources, management, and senior leadership.
- Must be capable of working independently and perform multiple tasks simultaneously and successfully.
- Experience and working knowledge relative to issues with multi-vendor network deployments, redundancy, interoperability, hardware and software issues, security, licensing, upgrading features and functionality on Brocade/Foundry and Cisco equipment.
- VMware and Microsoft Virtualization experience desirable.
- Solid background in hardware infrastructures including Servers, storage, networking, applications, and the latest virtual environments.
- BA/BSc technical degree or equivalent experience.
- Brocade product knowledge, Brocade Certifications or equivalent preferred.
