Role purpose:
As part of the Products & Services organization, the Operations Intelligence Lead assumes accountability for the end-to-end strategy, requirements, roadmap for the CPS Operational Intelligence services. The CPS Operational Intelligence Big Data architecture collects and processes 1.5 billion events per day for analytics to deliver best in class consumer services.
The core responsibility of this role is to lead the development and integration of the advanced self-service and real time analytics in CPS.
The initial task will be to help mobilise advanced analytics in CPS, and evolve this into a high-performing technology capability over time to enable CPS to deliver high quality and performance of processes and services.
This role provides a critical bridge between CPS DevOps teams, data scientists, Big Data architects and remote Big Data engineering team, external solution providers, and the Information Technology communities (both locally and globally).

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Translate strategy into tactical Operational Intelligence roadmap / plans and evangelize with leadership team and stakeholders
- Be the Subject Matter Expert for Operational Intelligence and contributes to the development of self, team and others across CPS and the global analytics community, ensuring Advanced Analytics is always evolving and at the cutting edge.
- Work with stakeholders to scope out product requirements and develop specifications, including scouting for new technologies
- Orchestrate and manage the different services for governed data streams, data management and security standards
- Accountable for the tech delivery plan for all the Programme activities and their subsequent implementation

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Strong knowledge of Big Data technology (e.g. Kafka / Flume, HDFS, Zoo Keeper, Yarn, Spark, MR, Tableau)
- Solid experience and expertise across data integration and data management
- Technical delivery of analytics solutions with high data volumes in a commercial environment (ideally Hadoop)
- Experience delivering complex programmes and managing a variety of stakeholders across distributed organisations
- Experience with visualisation tools and hands on expertise with Big Data technologies

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Solid experience and expertise across data integration and data management
- Experience with CRISP-Data Mining process to solve real-world problems
- Analytical and expansive thinking with a strong desire to deliver and develop
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work cross functional teams to translate business issues into potential analytics solutions
- Identifies from within his role pro-active problems or opportunities for improvement
- Exposure/interest in machine learning
- Experience in visualisation, creating graphical static and interactive displays of data that clearly communicate insight
- Experience manipulating and analysing datasets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multinational functional teams
- Fluent in English ( written & oral)
