We are looking for a Senior Research and Development (R&D) Engineer in the department of Research and Technology by our very well known client. You will be part of the Automotive Web of Things and Machine-to-Machine (M2M)-Innovation Center and responsible for research projects on the connected car as part of the Internet of Things.Your responsibilities include technology and trend scouting, as well as initiation, management and execution of research and development projects. As a Senior R&D Engineer you will build proof of concepts to demonstrate the value of new technologies, concepts, and use cases - always considering the customer’s point of view.
Your goal is the successful transfer of your work into series development in order to keep our client at the forefront of innovation. Novel technologies such as block chain and smart contracts may not only enable new use cases but also disrupt existing business models. Part of your task is to work with such technologies as well continuously evaluating the business potential in the context of premium mobility.
Task and activities Qualifikation:
University degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering or similar qualification. Professional experience in software architectures, Internet protocols, web services, REST, HATEOAS, JSON, JSON-LD, Semantic Web or similar. Very good programming knowledge (C, Java, and Scripting language) and programming language for smart contracts.
Good knowledge on cryptography, block chains, smart contracts, distributed databases and applications.
Know-how about block chain, digital ledger and smart contracts. Basis knowledge on business administration, business plans and lean startup methodology. Project management.
Business-fluent English and basic knowledge of German.
Team-work and communications skills.
