Task:- Support a group of Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) by providing end to end coordination of Firewall connectivity requirements for migrations of multiple applications and servers between Datacenters and onto Standardized Cloud Platforms
- Interface with IT Security (CISO) ensuring that all Firewall requests conform to the relevant security policies
- Interface with the Network Firewall teams to understand working practices and in-house tools
- Request Firewall configurations and compile Firewall specific technology impacts for migrations and perform appropriate risk mitigation
- Raise Internetwork Connectivity Requests (INCR’s) and Service Now tickets for all regions impacted by Firewall changes and coordinate implementation with the relevant Firewall teams
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues post server migration by liaising with application teams, Project Managers and Firewall engineers
- Please note this is not an engineering role – you will not require hands-on experience with any Firewall Technologies – but a good level of understanding of networking concepts is mandatory
Requirements (Must have):
- Computing or similar subject related degree
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Information Technology including previous experience in high pressure enterprise-class transformation programs
- Recent Investment Banking experience is desirable
- Professional certifications for networking and/or Microsoft (e.g. MCSE) are desirable but not absolutely required
Skills mandatory:
- Good understanding of Networking and Firewall concepts, including Network Address Tables, Subnets, Proxy services and TCP/IP
- Good understanding of Enterprise-class IT infrastructure, including VMWare platforms, Windows/Linux environments and database technologies
- Sound knowledge of Change Management practices in an Investment Banking environment
- Advanced data analysis and Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal skills - need to relate with Project Managers, technical engineers and support staff
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
- The ability to operate well under pressure against aggressive deadlines
- Strong analytical mind set and impeccable attention to detail
- Proactive risk based mind-set in highlighting issues and proposing solutions
