Network Support Consultants - 9 month contract: Cisco/Juniper, Bremen
Our customer, a leading Cisco Gold Partner, are looking for a number of network support consultants for minimum 9 month contracts around the Bremen are of Germany. The role will focus on the implementation, set, configuration and support of routing and switching solutions. You will be part of a highly technical team, working onsite for a leader telecoms service provider.
The position is ideal for a skilled network engineer with experience in datacenter network platforms.
As a Network Support Consultant, your responsibilities will be;
- Operation of the datacenter network platform (Housing/hosting environment)
- The configuration, setup and operation of routing and switching platforms in the customer network (Juniper, Cisco, MRV)
- The configuration, setup and operation of central BRAS/BNG platforms in the customer network (Juniper, Cisco)
- Contribute to 3rd level support in the network operations team
- The configuration and setup of end-customer services in the network
- Developing strong and trusting client relationships
- Act as a technical authority with customers in your areas of expertise
The requirements of this position are;
- 4 to 5 years in network engineering, ideally in client facing roles on MPLS technologies
- Strong knowledge in OSI layers 2-4, IP, Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), multicast solutions
- Good knowledge of interfaces like: X.21, E1, E3, Ethernet
- Bachelor degree related to Computer Science or Engineering
- Speak fluent German and English to business level.
- Act as a strong team player
- Certifications like CCNP, JNCIP or similar are desired but not essential
