For our client in telecommunications we are looking for a Technical Project Manager for Infrastructure Delivery area.

Start: 18.07.2016
Duration: 3 months (+ extension, roll-over contracts)
Location: remote possible (after 2-3 weeks of introduction/training phase in Newbury, UK.)
Volume: 5 days per week
Language: English

Project description:
Our client is working in Infrastructure delivery environment. The team is responsible to manage Operational End - to - End Service Transition Projects for their clients´ Operating Companies (OpCos), Group Functions, Partner Networks and external customers with agreed timelines and in the most efficient and customer friendly manner. Because of heavy workload, the project management team needs external support. The project manager needs to have a technical background to understand the processes.

We are looking for a candidate with the following mandatory skills:
- Project Manager with strong IT/Application Management background and experience in managing and developing an IT function
- Very good IT Project Manager skills
- Practical experience with Prince2 or PMI/ITIL, Scrum/DevOps experience is beneficial
- deep understanding of networks, infrastructure, server, Firewalls
- broad experience and knowledge of mobile Internet communication, protocols, infrastructure, applications, services and integrations.
- experience with load balancer, communication Matrix
- knowledge within the following areas: 3-tier service architecture, IT security concepts, general understanding of TCP/IP
- Senior leadership of Matrix organised teams (also in international environments)
- Experience in conducting contract negotiations with customers and suppliers
- Fluent English written and oral (preferred native speaker)
- very good communication skills
- N2H: telecommunication background
- N2H: working experience in IT services/service migrations

Tasks/Daily business:
- Multi-Project management/Service Transition Management
- Requirement analysis/Handle incoming service transition request according to the GA Portfolio and GA Request Management Process.
- Stakeholder Management/Develop and Maintain a fruitful co-operation with interfaces inside and outside of GA
- Expectation Management
- Run Feasibility Studies incl. cost estimations/Budgeting and Forecasting
- Communication and Reporting on different management levels up to senior management
- Creation and maintenance of project plans
- Responsible for the successful project delivery (time, quality, costs)
- Single point of contact for all project stakeholders (customers, suppliers, management )

Used tools: MS Project 2010, Excel, Remedy, Access, SharePoint
