Lab Technician/Operator (w/m)

For our client, a global Telecommunications company focussing on Chipset R&D we are looking for a Lab Technician/Operator on a freelance basis (f/m)
Project Start: ASAP
Project duration: 12 Months
Location: Munich
Description:
Perform operational tasks related to stress tests execution. Focus is on performing visual inspections, populating and depopulating sockets, starting, controlling and continuously monitoring stress tests, generating requested stress test documentation but other activities related to stress test executions can be included as well, eg filling details in stress test tracking software, supporting board development team.
Ensure that stress test execution runs without problems according to defined stress test conditions and according to defined schedule.
Tasks:
- Preparation work for stress test execution (logistic, EVI, documentation, population of the sockets etc.)
- Stress test execution (starting with defined stress test conditions, according to defined schedule, monitoring stress test indicators (temperatures, current consumptions etc.) during execution, preparing required documentation)
- Stress test finalization (filling required documentation, creating inputs into stress test tracking tool, depopulating devices etc.)
- Ordering of chips for heat; stress; and physical testing
- Close up work with microscope inspection of chips
- Transportation, maintenance and registration of equipment
Skills
- Degree Level - Technician
- Microscope knowledge
- Lab equipment knowledge
- Understanding of basic software for test execution
- Manual handing of multiple different varieties of chips
Languages
- Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
- German language would be very beneficial for day-to-day communication
