Requirements
- Responsible for maintaining the BI and Reporting Systems (IBM Cognos TM1, Arcplan, MicroStrategy and Cognos Controller), supporting and training.
- Member of the Financial Systems Team reporting to the Head Zurich Accounting Centre & Financial Reporting System.
- Responsible for maintaining the structures of the BI and Reporting Systems which includes:
-- Creating the necessary paper for structure changing approval
-- Testing and approving structural and functional system changes
- Responsible for supporting the BI & Reporting Systems which includes:
-- Resolving support tickets within 1st and 2nd level support
-- Coordinating with external consultants
- Responsible for training the BI & Reporting Systems which includes:
-- Training new end users on site as part of the go live task of a new member of the group
-- Performing trainings through webcasts
-- Creating and maintaining user guides
- Responsible for optimizing the BI & Reporting Systems which includes:
-- Constantly supporting the business processes, changes and systems setup
-- Setting up and testing new versions
-- Generating and managing ETL processes
-- Defining advanced metric and DB schemas
-- Driving innovation through mobile reporting applications
-- Supporting the financial submission and reviewing process with the most advanced features on the market
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master degree of applied science (Wirtschaftsinformatiker FH/HF/Uni)
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Business Intelligence Systems (BI)
- Preferably knowledge in accounting / group accounting and good understanding of Financial Reporting workflows
- Must be willing to learn, to improve his/her skills in a very dynamic environment and is never satisfied with what he/she achieved
- Expert knowledge of MS Office EXCEL and either IBM Cognos TM1 or Arcplan or MicroStrategy
- Advanced BI dash boarding knowledge (Metric and dimension creation, ETL processes, queries, etc.)
- Advanced SQL knowledge and strong programming background (no specific language necessary)
- Good database understanding (either ROLAP, MOLAP, HOLAP) and ability to analyse and troubleshoot problems
- Team player with a focus on the big picture and overall success (customer’s and company’s)
- Ability to work in a fast paced team?oriented environment (80’s and 20’s) where change is constant and needs to be managed
- Comfortable working in multinational environments
- Performance driven, detailed, results oriented with passion and commitment to quality
- Willing to work flexible hours and flexible when it comes to travel
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus)
