Projektbeschreibung/Aufgaben/Rolle:
For a project of our client (which has just started) we need an experienced Data Architect for the team (Enterprise Architecture). This person should help support
the design of the complex application and system wide architecture, with especial relation to data topics.
The following tasks can be expected to be performed:
Consultancy and support for the development of the future long-term integration and data architecture:
o Specification and planning of development steps and necessary components of
the data architecture
o Functional support, standards, best practices especially in regard to a common
data model for the integration layer
o Design and solution proposals
- Consultancy and support for the development of a vendor neutral enterprise data model, covering both master and transactional data
- Support for the selection of tools (where appropriate) to assist the future data / integration architecture
- Review of other components of the integration architecture
- Support by the definition of data services of a functional and technical character
- Consultancy with regard to data transfer in a SOA environment
The specific tasks required of the data architect will be determined by the project leader and the data architect.
Skills/Hinweise:
- More than 10 years of relevant professional IT experience
- Proven practice in the implementation of a common data model
- Proven practice in the design of enterprise wide data models
- Knowledge and experience of a variety of industry standard data models, especially in an SAP environment, but in at least one other standard business software
- Practical experience of implementing a SOA
- Familiarity with the concepts of master data management packages and practical experience of at least one such package
- Familiarity with the concepts of an enterprise service bus. Of advantage: project experience of at least one such package
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Fluency in English. Of advantage, but not a requirement: German
