Role: SAP FICO and PS Functional Consultant

Location: Essen, Germany

Start Date: 15th June

Duration: 18 months

Rate: Circa €75/hour all in

Language: German and English

Support clients in the selection, implementation of SAP FICO & PS module. This role requires consulting skills, business knowledge, and SAP solution expertise to effectively integrate SAP technology into the client's business environment in order to achieve client expected business results.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides specialist level functional and configuration knowledge in designing SAP solutions in the FICO modules of ECC 6.
  • Should have sound configuration knowledge of master data, GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting and Cash and Bank accounting including new GL accounting, automatic payment programs and closing cockpit.
  • Should have sound configuration knowledge of cost element, cost centre, internal order, product costing,profitability analysis and profit centre accounting.
  • Understand dependency between FI and CO and other logistics modules.
  • Understands configuration dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of SAP and provide financial expertise into the definition and resolution of issues in this area with this knowledge
  • Conducts or participates in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs.
  • Ensure compliance to existing, and development of required data and reporting standards.
  • Provides specialist level functional and configuration knowledge in designing SAP solutions in the PS modules of ECC 6

Experience (overall experience 5 to 10 years with a minimum of 3 years in required skills)

  • Good configuration knowledge of PS structures- WBS, network, milestones, standard structures, cost planning, user status profiles, budgeting, materials, planning, assembly processing, project quotation, time sheets, time sheet, confirmations, goods issues, project stock, Results analysis - cost based and Revenue based methods, completion contract method, period-end processing - Overheads, results analysis, settlement.
  • Knowledge of Integration with CA-TS
  • Good knowledge of investment, customer and cost projects.
  • Should have sound knowledge of material cost estimate
  • Ensure the integrity of the finance configuration of the SAP system across multiple landscapes.
  • Support production configuration and assist in functional change requests.
  • Support business implementations by sharing best practice configuration skills.
  • Assist with responding to user requirements, problem resolution, develop designs, and process modelling.
  • Conduct configuration changes to accommodate change requests and prototype activities.
  • Demonstrate proof of concept & assist in training activities
  • Perform initial testing of problem fixes, change request, enhancements, and new functionality.
  • Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application research.
  • Participate in release upgrade or new functionality/enhancement assessments and make recommendations.
  • Develops functional specifications and works with BASIS and ABAP personnel resources to complete object development and testing
  • May lead and coordinate the work of a small team
  • Provides leadership in the development of functional skills in others through active knowledge sharing
  • Understands and applies group company's methodologies and procedures
  • Should have knowledge in developing and using data migration tools.
  • Develops functional specifications and works with technical resources to complete object development and testing

Other info:

  • SAP configuration experience
  • At least three full life cycle SAP R/3 implementation experience (Project Preparation till Go-Live)
  • Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
  • Knowledge of using Solution Manager for managing projects and change management
  • Experience and knowledge of key integration points between SAP,SD, MM,FICO,PS and CA-TS modules
  • Business knowledge and process design skills
  • Should work hand in hand with Tech Mahindra colleagues.
  • Must be willing to travel in Europe when required during the roll out
