IT Systems Migration Engineer (m/f) / Kennziffer - 27613Project aim:
Attend a Server Migration (MS Windows OS / GLUX Global Linux on Intel Platform) from one Data Center (DC) to another remotely
Position Description:
Building server for both DCS (Dynamic Computing Services) and physical environment for Wintel (Windows OS on Intel Platform) and GLUX (Global Linux)
Perform installation activities remotely on equipment after physical installation onsite
Understand physical installation and advise engineers onsite of the requirements and design
Configure storage device according to engineering standards
Perform logical decommissioning for all equipment and data migration
Provide details of complex problems to the engineering team for further resolution
Assist others with onboarding activities as and when required
Collect data from customer and clarify customer inquiries with regards to the build and configuration
Communicate build, installation and configuration of equipment to the customer
Update all records accordingly in TSAM (CMDB database), DFM (Data Fabric Manager - NetApp Storage Management) and other tools regularly and as required
Provide advice on onboarding projects technical requirements
Develop and maintain technical documentation for the team as per requirement
Position Requirements:
The ideal candidate:
Has knowledge and experience on Microsoft platforms
Has extensive experience (certified) with VMware, vSphere, Windows Servers and optional Linux
Is able to maintain product documentation
Is able to improve/optimize migration processes
Has Microsoft server and virtualization exam certificates (e.g. AD configuring, maintaining server network infrastructure, designing security a server network, server virtualization with Windows server Hyper-V and System Center Specialist)
Has Microsoft virtualization, security and network certificates (e.g. Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Solutions Associate, Server Virtualization with Windows server and Hyper-V and System Center Specialist)
Has technical (ICT) Skills on virtualization with VMware, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewall, Internet Information Server, FTP Server, LDAP Server, MS SQL Server, Net App Storage, Server/Network infrastructure
