We are looking for a Network Architect, who will apply complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology:• Technical expertise in implementing and configuring Nexus switches i.e 7K, 5K & 2k
• Technical expertise in implementing and configuring flex and fabric technology
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing VPC’s , VDC’s Nexus architecture design
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support and engineering design for voice, data and video networks at Access, Aggregation, and Core network locations
• Design and manage the rollout of critical network infrastructures to support products and services, on both a strategic (long term) and tactical (immediate term) level
• Perform analytical, technical, cost analysis and CAPEX development work in the planning, design, installation and on-going administration and management of core data networks.
• Expert Level knowledge of Layer 2 technologies and the ability to troubleshoot Layer 2 topologies.
• Experience in Nexus series switches (7k, 6k, 5k and 2k) and Catalyst switches.
• Strong understanding of Layer 3 technologies
• Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP4
• Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to infrastructure needs. Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
• Ensure that network infrastructure is fully documented and performing as required for internal and customer SLA guarantees and expectations by means of specific metrics and measurements.
• Provide technical expertise to Product Development to develop new product strategies and enhance existing product sets.
Additional Duties Contributes to departmental activities and programs by accomplishing related tasks as needed. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Superior knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing & Switching hardware, software, protocols etc.
• Strong working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc.
• Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
• Router, Switch and IP configuration experience.
• Generate conceptual/logical architectures, system documents, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments
• Lead the analysis of new/existing infrastructure architectures, specify long term direction, and ensures engineering platforms meet reliability expectations throughout the process
• Certification: Cisco – CCNA, CCNP with 7+ Years of Experience (Added adv)
