For our client in Dortmund/Denver, we are searching for a construction project manager (f / m)Position:
The Construction Project Manager belongs to the Construction Project Management team within the Construction Division. The Construction Project Manager is appointed to a project and/or a proposal by the Head of the Division.
With respect to project/proposal matters the Construction Project Manager is directed by the Project/Proposal Manager and reports to the latter. He/she is a member of the project core team and is delegated to a project task force if such is installed.
Responsibilities:
- Work implementation with respect to Construction Project Management,
- Consolidation and implementation of discipline-related Lessons Learnt,
- Coordination and expediting of in-house activities regarding Construction Project Manage-ment,
- Management of in-house interfaces with Construction Project Management,
- Implementation and improvement of discipline-specific tools, guidelines, instructions and procedures,
- Development and follow-up of the construction execution plan,
- All pre-construction activities related to the project,
- Performance of the construction in-house team,
- Staffing of the site in cooperation with the line management,
- In-house support to site,
- Construction execution cost budget in cooperation with Construction Site Manager.
- Development of a Construction Execution Plan,
- Development of a Subcontracting Plan, including names of potential subcontractor,
- Contract (contract with customer) assessment,
- Selection and set-up of IT tools for the construction scope,
- Drawing-up of discipline-specific Q-plan.
- Leading the Construction team,
- Assessment of contract and all annexes with respect to construction,
- Preparation of Q-plan for construction work using the respective construction-related Global Practices.
- Coordination of construction work with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Customer, Partners, Subcontractors, etc.,
- Pursuance of change requests, non-conformities, deficiencies and defects with respect to the construction scope,
Skills:
- Four Year degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- Minimum of three years construction management experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to read and interpret contract requirements and to read engineering drawings
- Ability to review and evaluate the project schedule. Familiarity with MS Project is preferred
