Preferred base location: Düsseldorf, Germany;Main Responsibilities:
You will be joining a fast growing international team responsible for the Video Solution sales across EMEA. This is one of the expert teams within customer to support projects globally.
Your main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
• Identify challenges within the operator’s solution. Provide TV related consulting services. Provide clear advice on how the solution should be adjusted and planned in a consultative manner. Ensure attainment of the company’s sales goals in line with the development strategy of the operator.
• Proven ability to influence the strategy of an operator is preferred.
• Participate in customer’s top level projects as the leader or as a core member. Clarify the requirements with the customer and make deliver a solution based on the customer portfolio. Give presentations when required to CTO/CIO/CFO-level customers.
• Support all presale activities, such as workshops, the bidding process, POC and SOW negotiations.
• Be able to establish and maintain a strong connections with C-level or VP customers and participate in C-level customer presentations/speeches at high-level forums, project workshops etc.
• Act as the key person who will interact with video product line units, account managers and other frontline teams. Be able to recommend and influence product development both from a commercial and a technical perspective.
• Provide in-depth market analysis to enable product managers to plan product timelines according to local market requirements
• Co-ordinate and provide all video product and solution related updates and training to the frontline staff as required.
Requirements:
• More than 10 years experience in the Communications Industry, preferably in the EMEA region.
• Must be a self-starter with knowledge of the solutions available for all sections of the industry, Cable, Telco, Satellite – end to end.
• Experience working for a Tier 1 Operator or a Major Supplier within a TV strategy group is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge about the video industry and the relative trends is required.
• Familiarity with the video technology evolution roadmap, e.g. the trend for video architectures, network challenges for video services, middleware solutions, STB’s, OTT etc. is required
• In-depth knowledge of video telecom equipment and video network infrastructure elements is preferred.
• Expert consultative knowledge within IPTV, cable TV, CDN, OTT Video and eMBMS is required (or part thereof).
• Familiarity with terminals and (IP) video service/application platforms.
• Extensive experience in solution development.
• Ability to conduct team building and talent development activities within a project and the ability to design and provide training to junior members.
• Must be able to find and drive new unexplored market opportunities.
• Fluency in speaking and writing English is mandatory.
• Frequent travel up to 50% is expected
