Fantastic New Contract Opportunity: Cognos Admin- Germany
Next-Link Solutions are currently seeking for an experienced Cognos Admin for our client in Germany with the following skills and experience:
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of Cognos software administration, planning and reporting
- In-depth knowledge of Business Intelligence and administration management
- Ability to maintain and control systems
- Work in accordance with the requirement of the project
- Ability to meet deadlines with delivery of quality work
- Strong communication skills with all, including on-shore and off shore clients
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with colleagues, clients and the management
- Proficient in handling crisis issues
- Possess strong analytical reasoning
- Ensure the overall performance of Cognos suite to meet the business needs
- Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks
- Experience with other BI tools and vendor products highly desirable
- Cognos Administration certification would be a plus
- Excellent communications and customer service skills
- Proper Cognos Software Administration
- In-depth knowledge of Cognos 10 Platform, Report studio, Query Studio
- Software languages including SQL, Java
- Experience using the different operating systems operating Systems (Windows,Linux), Microsoft Suite, Oracle,
- Knowledge of Web Application Server architectures and security systems administration
- Advanced settings configuration
- Maintain and control content manager's growth
- Managing failed reports in Cognos
- Improve the level of performance of your IBM Cognos platform.
- Tune Server Performance
- Customizing the Appearance of IBM Cognos BI
- Managing Index Search
- Customizing the Functionality of IBM Cognos Software (ie disable Email scheduling)
- Manage and control Cognos-related sub-componenents like Virtual Directory Server
- and Appara Fast Edit (Data entry tool Embedded in Cognos BI)
- Create clearly defined roles and responsibilities around key tasks
- Installing the Cognos 10 BI fixes and patches
- Resolve Cognos environment issues related to execution of the reports., Setting up Logging, System Performance Metrics
- Server Administration, Data Sources and Connections, Query Service Administration, Back Up Data
- Resolve Cognos environment issues related to execution of the reports.
