My client is looking for an experienced server specialist (m/w).Your tasks:
-Administration of physical and virtual Server-, Backup- and Storage-Infrastructure and related tasks and activities globally. Resolution of the root causes of problems in order to minimize the adverse impact on business that are caused by errors within the IT infrastructure.
-Implementation/Installation and administration/maintenance of Servers, Backup and Storage, either physical or software-based, services with focus on availability, reliability and manageability following IT standard processes in coordination with responsible IT management
-Lead/Participate in determination of high quality and functional solutions in the respective field of technology which meet end-user requirements with emphasis on early problem identification/trends and root cause analysis
-Participate in the pro-active development of new technologies and services to ensure a high-quality of service in alignment with global standards in the respective fields of expertise
-Support implementation of new and/or improved IT processes following IT standards
-Support technicians to resolve IT infrastructure problems across regions (AMER, APAC and EMEA) acting as a technical expert for Server, Backup and Storage and Virtualization related topics.
-Contributes in global IT projects with focus on availability and reliability following standard processes in coordination with responsible IT management
-Problems, solutions, results of project work as well as any elaborated results within the area of responsibility must be documented following the standards
-Education of technicians based on processes to make optimal use of business systems
Requirements:
-Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in a global IT organization underlined by respective training certificates, such as CCNA; MCSE or equivalent
-Experienced in implementing, documenting and operationally maintaining IT infrastructures
-Experienced in interacting with external suppliers & service providers
-Technical IT infrastructure knowledge with focus on globally positioned IT infrastructure technique
-Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
-Analytical skills; strong and flexible individual capable of dealing with the typical tensions that arise within an IT service environment; confident and customer focused; good problem solving skills with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
-Ability to develop and document procedures and processes
