Senior Project Manager - SAP CRM Migration
Project Details
You will manage a SAP CRM Migration project with the goal to move specific applications from SAP CRM 4 to CRM 7.
Project Description and Context
SAP CRM is the primary CRM system of the client running various CRM applications.
Most applications are still running on SAP CRM 4. The applications were undergone customizations and modifications to a certain extent in order to cover company-specific requirements. The Client is now going to migrate the remaining applications to SAP CRM 7. One of the major goals of the migration project is to reduce modifications of applications on CRM 7 and to use standard functionality instead with some customization only. Thus, modification of certain business processes is expected accordingly as an integral part of the project deliverables.
Timeline
The following timeline will apply for the project:
Project start date: as soon as possible
Project end date: expected end date end of 2016
Location
The project manager is expected to be based in Frankfurt.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the management of the end to end project delivery. In particular this includes:
Leading and controlling implementation phases of the project life cycle from initiation, product design, delivery and test to post implementation, adhering to known project methodologies (PMI) and best practices.
Full responsibility to delivery from specification to testing and implementation and business process modifications within time, scope, quality and budget.
Collecting and evaluation of the requirements in the relevant/affected divisions.
Effective management of project and business risks.
Correct budget and cost management for the project.
Management of the local team and SW vendor(s).
Regular transparent reporting to the agreed steering committee and sponsor.
Requirements on the Project Manager
Qualification
Project management methods must be known and must have been used in former projects (such as PMI or IPMA). A project management certification is of advantage.
Additional requirements:
- Extensive experience with IT project management
- Good experience with SAP integration/customization projects
- Very good communication skills, empathy and the ability to work in a team
- Very good stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience with Microsoft Project
Language Proficiency
Project languages are German and English. Thus, written and spoken German and English is required.
Skills
In addition to project management qualification and the PM capabilities the following functional/technical skills are required.
- SAP CRM must be known and experience with this system is required.
- Knowing exchanges and clearing houses is of advantage.
