My client is looking for an experienced infrastructure operations Manager (m/w)Tasks:
• Responsible for Global IT infrastructure support and services within all regions. Manage IT Operations staff in various sites in different countries including responsibility for all related administrative tasks, setting goals and objectives and carrying out their annual reviews.
• Provide and maintain a high level of infrastructure support and services to business operations in terms of availability and performance.
• Monitor the service for adequate performance and guarantee service availability and performance within agreed SLAs as well as ensure high level of security of the global infrastructure systems
• Interface with multiple users, manage customer demands, requirements, and prioritise tasks in line with business needs.
• Contribute to the definition of technology roadmaps for implementing new IT Infrastructure Services.
• Contribute in creation, implementation and modification of group wide infrastructure strategies, policies, and standards as well as planning and implementation of projects by supporting roll-outs considering objectives, scope, deliverables, budget, time lines and staffing requirements.
• Ensure the effective and efficient governance of the infrastructure operations budget (budget management and effective financial planning); integrate and orchestrate resources (people, material, information, budget, and time) required to accomplish the goals set.
• Lead others in a manner that builds their confidence and capabilities, challenging and supporting employees to learn and grow from their experiences.
• Plan and secure skills, experience and competencies required for team and individual team members.
• Define employee assignment objectives, measure performance and provide individual feedback. Deliver assignment orientation, training and coaching to ensure high levels of performance and lead employee engagement and team communication.
Requirements:
• University degree in IT or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 5 years experience of working in a Global IT Organisation.
• Good technical IT infrastructure knowledge including WAN/LAN, remote access solutions, internet access & internet related services, wireless LAN security, authentication, network performance, administration and reporting, disaster recovery services and procedures, project budget (control).
• Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers & service provider relationships across multiple sites & continents.
• Strive for continually finding better ways to increase the infrastructure service level and respond to situations with appropriate sense of urgency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
• Good analytical skills; high level of IT infrastructure knowledge; Strong, resilient individual capable of dealing with the typical tensions that arise within an IT service environment; confident & customer focused; excellent organisational skills; fluent communicator with the ability to communicate and present at all levels.
