IP network security design engineer1 Purpose of role
Our customer is planning to transfer equipment from several sites to 3 main Global ICT Centers (GIC). The local site in Aachen is for example hosting an IT Hub (IT data center) which is planned to be transferred into one of the 3 GICs.
The purpose of the role is to support the local ICT Infrastructure team during the feasibility studies, during the network acceptance and during the verification of the “Hub functionality”
2 Tasks and responsibilities
2.1 Key tasks and responsibilities
The local ICT Infrastructure team in Aachen is responsible for the IP NW- and IP Infrastructure design, the setup of the new IP Infrastructure in the GIC and the acceptance as enabler for the final equipment transfer.
The owner of this role has got the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Support the local ICT Infrastructure team during the feasibility study with focus on the firewall function
• Conduct in depth analysis of the existing IP NW including the security concept (e.g. Firewall rule set, …)
• Design/Develop a firewall concept in line with the global guide lines and the local project needs.
• Support the local ICT Infrastructure team during the NW implementation, trouble shooting and acceptance test.
3 Role requirements
3.1 Qualifications & experience
• Hands-on experience on technical level described in the Advanced Junos Security (AJSEC) training:
• Good understanding of the ScreenOS platform
Good experiences on the Linux command line as well as MS Windows platforms
• Very good English communication skills
• Professional in documentation of the work done
