Beschreibung

An Offshore Wind Energy Operator is looking for a Logistics Contract Manager with offshore engineering and marine experience to work in Hamburg, on an initial contract until end of March 2016 with further extensions likely. The Contracts Manager will be required to work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) at the office and will report to Offshore Logistics & Construction Manager. The Logistics Contracts Manager will focus on the OED projects (Origination and Development) in Dutch and German waters.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist writing tender invitation documentation; in particular the contract conditions and scope of work requirements in liaison with procurement and other internal stakeholders
  • Participate in tender negotiations
  • Evaluate tenderers' deviations to/specifications of scope of work, program, project management/execution and risks
  • Participate in interface meetings in order to make sure that the commercial impact of technical proposals is captured
  • Review contractor's program, resource plan, project execution plan
  • Follow up on all contractor deliveries according to program
  • Follow up on all Employer deliveries within the Contract
  • Assist the Offshore Construction/Logistics Manager with contract variations and claims in collaboration with Procurement
  • Manage other commercial related issues within the Contract(s) (Payments etc.)
  • Assess and manage contractual risks
  • Development of logistic procurement manager plan
  • Support to compiling the logistics Risk, Quality, Procurement and Stakeholder management plan
  • Support Cost Reduction initiatives
  • General support of Strategic planning of Logistics Package
  • Support to Coordination of lessons learnt in Logistics Package
  • Support Evaluation weather downtime statistics and derivation of gross construction times
  • Support solving interfaces to other packages and interfaces between contracts within Logistics package
  • Provide support to lean management activities

Requirements:
  • Development project experience, ideally including Offshore wind
  • Relevant experiences in compiling, negotiating and handling contracts
  • Large construction projects (ideally marine)
  • Good knowledge in offshore transportation and installation
  • Understanding of German contract law
  • Experienced in claims management
  • Contract amendment experience
  • Experienced with BIMCO, FIDIC
  • Experience with Dutch subcontract companies would be an advantage - such as VBMS, Van Oord, Keppel Verolme B.V., Ballast, GOC, Mammoet, etc.
  • Understanding the logistical challenges
  • Fluency in Dutch or German language
  • Offshore certifications
