Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong understanding of the asset management/buy side world, with good experience of the various investment management asset classes & financial instruments traded in buy-side organisations such as equities, Fixed Income etc. Ideal applicant will have an understanding of EMS (Execution management systems) products, as well as experience of test and project management tools, techniques & life cycles. This is a hands on role, so you must be willing and able to "roll up your sleeves" and prepare test scripts, and execute component and patch reviews for example.
You will need good experience of requirements gathering and the preparation of high quality documentation, diagramming workflow, and possess proven experience of working as a Business Analyst in a pressurised and delivery focused buy side environment.
You will require a good understanding of software, possibly have a background in IT, and possess an appreciation of how software applications work, interact and fit together, and be comfortable with terms such as Middleware, environments, software interfaces, data issues etc. You must also be willing and able to deliver small testing and test management projects.
You will need to be an experienced, delivery focused BA with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, be comfortable and effective dealing with senior stakeholders, possess first class analytical skills, and be able to successfully leverage an appreciation of both IT and business processes to deliver top quality results for our client. Most importantly you will have deep experience gained within the asset management/buy side world.
