We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to develop and optimize ML-based models and services. You should ensure that the right data is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right form. Furthermore you will support the team responsible for the mission-critical operational management of one of the largest portals in the world on AWS. As a Data Engineer you will also be involved in future ML / AI projects involving the leading AWS prototyping team.Your responsibilities include:
• Analysing and organizing raw data and building data systems and pipelines.
• Evaluation of business needs and goals and interpretation of trends and patterns.
• Perform complex data analysis, generate reports on the results and prepare data for modelling.
• Create algorithms and prototypes and combine raw data from different sources.
• Investigate ways to improve data quality and reliability and identify opportunities for data collection.
• Develop analysis tools and programs.

• Starting period: 01.09.2022
• Ending period: 31.12.2022 (Possible extension)
• Full-time: (5 days/week)
• Location: Remote/ Frankfurt (40%)

Experience
• Data engineer or in a similar role (4 years)
• Data models, data mining
• Python, SQL (familiarity with scale is an advantage)
• SQL database design
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• University degree in computer science, IT or a similar field, a master's degree is an advantage
• Certification in the field of data engineering or machine learning is an advantage
