This position reports functionally to the Team Head, Clinical Supply Services and is based in Basel / Kaiseraugst, Switzerland.This position delivers new solutions and enhancements ensuring scalability and maintainability of the GxP applications in support of our global Clinical Supply business teams.
• Apply in depth knowledge ?of systems and tools and utilize problem solving skills to support these processes. Implement systems and monitor performance against defined standards.?
• Provide content knowledge to the management of the full lifecycle of solutions from creation ?? through operation to retirement.?
• Provide application management and support, ensuring operational stability and effectiveness of one ?or more applications ?
Key responsibilities:
• Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements. Translate business needs into applicable functional specification via leading prototyping and fit-gap approaches.
• Design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance existing system functionalities; develop new features per business requirements.
• Create system documentation, including functional and technical specifications, installation scripts, OQs/PQs, test plans, and scripts.
• Responsible for installation of new systems and new releases into maintenance and ?productive environment, following SDLC and change management procedures
• Ensure validation, audit, and legal compliance of system through out lifecycle.
• Support business in creation of SOPs, Work Instructions, Training, etc. as needed.
• Provide content knowledge on Incident, Problem, and Change management processes to appropriate IT teams.
• Develop and evaluate ideas, options and solutions. Collaborate with other IT teams to implement solutions that optimize operational performance of system.
• Drive coordination of activities for small-to-medium changes in area of responsibility; perform system administration and provide 2nd/3rd level support.
• Coordinate and support upgrades ? support packs, enhancement packs, system-wide, database, etc.
• Help drive process improvement initiatives to optimize user experience and business understanding of solution.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a multi-cultural, global (non co-located) work teams, and supporting multi-time zone end-user communities. For this position, the ideal candidate brings the following qualifications:
• 5 ? 9 years of SAP SCM (Supply Chain Management)
• Minimum 3-5 years hands-on configuration and/or ABAP development experience.
• Detailed knowledge of supply chain and clinical business processes required.
• Experience as a consultant, functional expert, or similar role highly desirable.
• Expert in deploying and monitoring SAP solutions across a multi-system landscape
• Skilled in problem/incident management, SLAs ? Service Level Agreements and full lifecycle system support.
• Experience conducting large-scale requirements and design sessions with business process owners.
• Ability to learn new technical concepts and systems; Highly adaptable to change? ?
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Must be a self-starter, results-oriented and have a track record of timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Excellent verbal/written communications skills; strong presentation and negotiation/conflict resolution skills.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other validated environment highly desired.
Education / Certifications:
• Bachelor?s degree in in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant business discipline.
• SAP Certification in MM / SD / WM desirable
• SAP Knowledge in GLM (Global Label Management) advantageous
• SAP Knowledge in Masterdata Management and ECM (Engineering Change Management) advantageous
• Understanding of ITIL and ITSM concepts
