Role: Technical Translator - German Speaking
Client: Tier 1 Investment Bank
Location: Eschborn, Frankfurt, Germany
Rate: TBC
Our client, a Global Tier 1 Investment Bank requires a Technical Translator - German Speaking for an approximately 6-month programme.
Our client requires a large number of knowledge articles, process documents and online service request documentation to be translated, both from English to German, and German to English.
The successful candidates will be required to liaise extensively with business users and in-house Technology/Product teams to analyse and define requirements, hence the requirements for strong BA skills previously gained in a Banking/Finance/Technology environment.
Translation Responsibilities:
- Providing a diverse client base with high quality, grammatically correct German and English Translations which retain the feel and style of the original source document.
- Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct German and Translation.
- Liaising with clients to discuss any unclear points or phrases.
- Retaining and developing knowledge on specialist areas of German and English Translation.
- Following various translation-quality standards to ensure legal and ethical obligations to the customer.
- Meeting word count, quality and productivity targets.
Person Specification - Skills & Experience:
(Essential)
- Native/fluent level German, with excellent written and spoken English.
- Degree educated (or equivalent) in a Translation or Language related subject.
- A good understanding and in-depth knowledge of language/country-specific cultures.
- Attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly to meet deadlines.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and remain professional under pressure.
- The ability to use initiative in a commercial context.
- Proficiency in the use of a range of computer packages.
- Self-motivation and eagerness to acquire new knowledge.
The role is based in Eschborn and is due to start end of April.
