Our client is currently looking for a freelance Technical Writer (m/f) in the field of BI Solutions in Rosenheim/ Germany (partly Remote possible).
- Prepare documentation in collaboration with product managers, developers, support consultants
- Review, edit and/or update existing documentation
- Contribute to quality assurance projects
- Collaborate with other Technical Writers on documentation standards and information architecture
- Proven experience in technical writing and/or software documentation (Online help / Installation and configuration guides / Operation guides for system administrators and end users / Release notes)
- Excellent technical communication skills with an eye for detail
- Familiarity with help authoring tools (e.g. RoboHelp), MS Office
- Proficient to expert level in using documentation tools (RoboHelp, MSOffice Suite - Microsoft Word in particular, image editing tools like Paint shop Pro, Photoshop etc).
- Good technical acumen, ability to understand and interpret highly technical information pertaining to complex software Applications for clear and concise documentation.
- Prior experience in developing user documentation for software products for industrial control solutions/avionics applications is preferred.
- Experience in creating screen captures, developing videos or software simulations
- Excellent writing and speaking English language skills, German language is a plus
- Ability to understand requirements and deliver international quality writing.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts
- Team spirit, strong analytical thinking and organizational skills
Location: Rosenheim (partly remote possible)
Duration: asap for at least 6 months (with option on extension) ? (80% part time work could be an option)
