My Client is looking for a Solution Architect- Data Centre (DC)who would be responsible for allowing the win large service and solution deals through solutions designs that meet customers' requirements and are recognised as cost competitive.
The DC solution architect will:
- Be deliverable in terms of resource cost and timescales
- Be market competitive in terms of timescale and total cost
- Represent the best possible approach in respect of the customer's requirements
- Configuration of delivery to customer benefits case
Key Skills
- Understand customer needs and works closely with the sales team.
- Coordinate Subject Matter Experts on DC environment to build a solid and consistent solution in line with customer needs and the win strategy established by the sales team.
- Create the overall Data Centre Services solution architecture and document it in high-level design documents.
- Documentation of the end to end DC solution.
- Contribute to project repositories and re-use existing material.
- Ensure ability to implement and deliver the designed solution by working closely with the designated delivery units and gaining sign-off.
- Ensure that solutions are technologically sound and state of the art, covers the technical angle in proof of concept and business approval meetings.
- Provide input to Financial Engineers and manage the completeness of cost submitted.
- Regularly checks cost against benchmark during the whole design process.
- Identify, assesses and minimise risk associated with a solution and ensures that these are appropriately tracked.
- Use and make contribution to the knowledge base and deliver feedback
- Coach and provide guidance to junior consultants.
- Contributes to Win/Loss Reviews.
- Work in a team-work spirit and liaise with other technical towers ensuring the overall solution consistency.
Desired Experience
- Master's degree in Engineering
- Extensive experience with Data Centre Services (including Hybrid IT Data Center) Solution Development Lifecycle.
- Extensive experience on engagement of large (>100M€) Data Center Managed Services structure services.
