Currently we are looking for a new member of our team of experts in order to accept an assignment as Windows Infrastructure Senior Engineer (m/w) in Frankfurt including the following area of responsibility:
Main tasks:
- Participate in the design and testing of the standard OS releases based on Microsoft Windows Server versions for physical and virtual platforms.
- Configuration of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and other orchestration and automation technologies for the deployment of new instances based on new standard OS releases and for the upgrade of existing running instances to the latest standards, and handover of tools and procedures to the System Operations Team.
- Coordination of the monthly Windows Server vulnerability patching activities.
Requirements (Must have):
Technical competencies:
- Experience in the design and implementation of complex IT management infrastructures for the automated administration of Windows server instances during their lifecycle (deployment, continued compliance, retirement)
- In depth knowledge of and experience with the design and implementation of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- In depth knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012 including Powershell scripting
- Confidence with Microsoft Security Baseline Analyser and ideally with Nessus Vulnerability Scanner
- Experience with HP and possibly Cisco server hardware and related management tools
- Experience with VMware vSphere 5.1 and higher.
- Experience working in a mature IT environment with established IT Service Management processes.
- Working experience in an international organisation
- A good command of English with proven drafting ability
