Senior UX Developer (m/f/d)For one of our clients in Düsseldorf, we are currently looking for a Senior UX Developer(m/f/d)on a freelance basis.
Aufgabenbeschreibung:
1. Overall activities
- Work with Product Owners and other Leads to define approach and contribute to roadmaps.
- Provide time estimates and ensure that work is completed on time.
- Troubleshoot and provide appropriate solutions as and when problems occur.
- Plan approach to UX design work and act as the design lead on larger projects.
2. Design and definition
- Take requirements from within the business for new or changing functionality on the site and produce specifications through wireframing and/or prototypes.
- Identify most appropriate tools and exercises to use to define the UX.
- Define the front-end experience for large-scale projects and, where relevant, the information architecture.
- Produce visual designs that are on-brand and sensitive to accessibility and web standards.
- Mentor Designers in other teams, giving direction, sharing best practice and ensuring sites stay true to brand and design guidelines.
- Ensure an appropriate level of consistency and continuity across projects and channels.
- Brief and work closely with the Developers on development work to support the UI and resolve any issues based on technical constraints.
- Ensure UI works across all supported browsers and platforms.
- Work with the Lead UX Researcher to define usability testing in order to refine the user interface.
- Lead and contribute to the brainstorming and idea generation around tackling UX weaknesses.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure all relevant SEO and Analytics requirements are built in from day one.
- Maintain a highly organised level of working standard – adhering to our working practices and helping us to develop them to become more efficient and effective.
- Work with the development team to define and create original, on-brand and visually attractive design solutions.
- Work with the development team to ensure the proposed UX is feasible and that the technical design and architecture support it. Define processes with them and ensure development is aligned to the user experience
- Reach reasonable and pragmatic compromises whenever necessary, ensuring objectives are still being met within timescales.
- Support prototyping activity for user research and usability testing.
Essential
- 6+ years solid, demonstrable background creating best in class, innovative experiences.
- Experienced in going from concept to final execution and leading others on that journey.
- Maintains very high standards with a sense of pragmatism to produce accessible, high fidelity designs.
- Practical and advanced experience with UX tools, e.g. Sketch, inVision, Figma, Zeplin, Abstract.
- Experience designing for multiple screen formats, understanding the similarities, differences and constraints when designing for iOS, Android and Web.
- Strong knowledge of user centred design process with the ability to coach and lead others through this.
- Experience working within a marketplace ecosystem.
- Experience using design systems and working in an agile culture.
- Experience in designing for mobile apps.
- Working knowledge of technical frameworks, e.g. React.
- Experience working agency-side in a client facing role.
- German speaking
