***A German Publishing company is currently looking for Acquisitions Editors to start ASAP on a Rolling project***A German publishing company is looking for Acquisitions Editors to assist them in the planning and acquisition of new authors and editors for books and online reference works in medicine
Responsibilities:

Strategic planning, acquiring content and authors (including author management) -
Overseeing product development from concept to publication. -
Working with the editing, marketing, sales, and production teams -
Travel:-
Meeting potential publishing partners and opinion leaders at medical conferences

On site:-
Performing market research, -
Develop concepts for new publications -
Writing proposals -
Getting projects under contract ready for further project management and production.

Skills and Experience Required
-
Medical background essential -
Must be German native -
Publishing background advantageous -
Therapeutic areas: gynaecology, lab medicine, internal medicine, gastroenterology, paediatrics, podiatry, deontology, dermatology
