The project:
The services of the contractor (service provider) are provided for the project AI platform development. This has the following content: As part of the platform strategy, an AI platform was set up that provides the basic AI services for customers. The decisive factor for success is that the AI platform can handle interactions between a large number of actors in a standardized and highly efficient manner. As a result, transaction costs are significantly reduced compared to classic business relationships and at the same time a much higher quality is achieved. The AI platform is to be further developed, which is automated, provides fully integrated basic infrastructures and maps additional software-based functionalities. In most cases, a PaaS/IaaS with a self-service portal approach is to be implemented. An important next step is the expansion of AI Workbench services for data scientists around AWS Sagemaker and related services. The Workbench provides the necessary tools for the development and operation of AI models preconfigured and integrated. It supports teams in the development and operation of data science and AI models throughout the entire lifecycle – from data connection to modeling and operation.
# Service description
The person provides the following services:
• Consulting on the systematic expansion and harmonization of the AI platform as part of the overall platform strategy
• Implementation of the AI platform strategy
• Cross-team implementation of standard services on the AI platform
• Harmonization of individual software components in the sense of the AI platform strategy
• Infrastructural implementation of services for use by data scientists
• Support in scaling the AI platform, especially when onboarding new colleagues and by providing technical advice to other teams and partners in the Group
• Setup of basic infrastructure and processes for performing automated software deployments in source code
# Must requirements:*
• The external specialist must have at least 5 years of experience in software development. Several reference projects are to be presented, which reflect many years of experience. Required information per reference project is the exact period of use, the AG or the industry, the role of the specialist and his specific tasks. (Proof via CV/reference list)
• The external specialist must have very extensive knowledge of the Java programming language. (Proof of CV/reference list, at least 2 years of experience)
• We use Gitlab CI/Pipelines. The external expert has at least two years of practical experience in the implementation of continuous integration and continuous delivery using GitLab. (Proof via CV/reference list)
• The external specialist is used to working in agile formats (Scrum/Kanban, DevOps) and can prove this through project assignments. (Proof of CV/reference list, at least 3 years used in projects)
• The external specialist can demonstrate extensive knowledge in the use of AWS services and the use of AWS CDK (Typescript) and/or Kubernetes (proof of qualification – further training and at least one year of project experience in the CV/reference list)
