OpenShift and container platforms (DevOps) Engineer

The project is running an OpenShift and container platform. A technical expert is sought for the following tasks to support the team in operations.

Tasks:
- Incident management, problem management, change management.
- Application Operations
- Processing of changes to fix bugs
- Improve performance
- Documentation in Jira and Confluence

In detail:
- Adapting OpenShift Container Platform to changing, mainly technical, environmental conditions (such as but not limited to: EOL/EOS software, license changes, EOL/EOS hardware).
- Improvement of non-functional features of the OpenShift Container Platform
- Consulting on maintenance and operations of the OpenShift Container Platform to make operations more efficient.
- Independent involvement of other support units (e.g. maintenance, other service providers in the area of infrastructure operation, network) and proactive support of the fault clearance by these support units
- Documentation of the OpenShift Container Platform, its configuration and its operating parameters
- Maintenance of the OpenShift Container Platform operating manual
- Work on customizations and maintenance of data, especially master data via programs and/or scripts (e.g. Ansible)
- Technical preparation activities (e.g., stopping the application),
- plausibility checks (e.g. non-binding visual check of commissioned scripts - the responsibility for correctness remains with the creator)
- technical execution (e.g. importing files or executing scripts, starting the application).
- patch management
- Adaptation (adjustment) of the platform to be maintained as a result of changes to the operating system or middleware, in particular:
- Testing of the OpenShift Container Platform in case of changes to the middleware.
- Adaptation of the OpenShift Container Platform to release changes of the underlying middleware or to changes of the volume frameworks (scaling of the platform)
- Assessing the potential for disruption and proposing countermeasures
- Provide consulting and analysis (e.g., prepare additional analysis to assess impact of changes (new releases, patches, or other changes) on quality and/or cost of platform infrastructure or operations
