Job description:
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications in the connected car backend of our customer.
Java developer roles and responsibilities include managing Java application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and operations (DevOps).
Responsibilities:
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle and operation of agile DevOps projects in the domain of connected cars
• Create scalable software architecture and design for innovative features in the car
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code using state-of-the-art tools and agile processes
• Take the responsibility for application operations in the DevOps working model
• Analyse issues, trace and fix bugs
• Support continuous improvement
Requirements:
• Several years of experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE
• Proven working experience in architecture standards and best practices like design patterns, microservices and RESTful webservices
• Profound insight and experience in the development of complex Java solutions (Java EE, EJB, JPA, JMS)
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies, especially PostgreSQL and JPA
• Experience in the development and operation of Java-EE-/Openshift-/Cloud-solutions
• Knowledge of container-based und Cloud-infrastructures, IT-infrastructure (server, network, CI/CD, Kubernetes), monitoring, alerting and Linux
