Senior Android Engineer (Freelance)6 months contract
Fully remote in EU
€40-50 p/h
We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to be part of a cross-functional squad. You will be working with Germany’s largest football media company.
Your role:
- Ensure quality and performance of the app
- Create easy-to-read, high-performance and well architected code
- Work on new features and refactoring legacy code using SOLID principles
- Closely cooperate with our Product and Design teams to understand and create the best possible solutions for our users,
- Be very data-driven in designing new features by extensively relying on usage patterns, A-B Testing and a very deep understanding of the domain and customer objectives,
- Team focused and willing to share your knowledge and experience with other engineers to enable and help them grow
Your profile:
- Passion for Android - 5+ years of experience in building and maintaining Android applications
- Proficiency in Kotlin, Java and AWS
- Experience with Concurrency (Coroutines & RxJava)
- Good understanding of modern Android architectural approaches for the presentation layer (MVVM) and beyond (Clean Code)
- Experienced with Testing and what it takes to make code testable (Unit Tests, UI Tests etc.)Experience with JSON, REST and/or other API technologies (e.g. Protobuf)
- Deep understanding of Dependency Injection frameworks (preferably Dagger2)
- Experience with agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)Experience working with CI/CD systems (preferably Github Actions)
