One of my international clients in the pharmaceutical industry is currently looking for a Backend Engineer to start immediately or latest by September 26. The contract duration is initially until the end of the year with a high probability of extension.The goal of the department is to gather evidence and provide insights that support strategic and tactical decisions at various key stages in the later stages of the pharmaceutical value chain.
Strong command of technical practices and system design and extensive experience writing and reviewing maintainable code in a team environment is required. You should be able to strategically refactor code and have experience writing data intensive applications using modern architectural patterns.
You will work in the AI/Natural Language Process product team, following SCRUM and in an international environment.
Basic Qualifications:
High level of proficiency in Python, with experience in design and implementation of REST APIs (e.g. in flask or FastAPI)
Experience with container technology (e.g. Docker, Podman) and Kubernetes/Openshift
Hands on experience in developing cloud native applications in AWS (e.g. S3, Lambda, CloudFormation)
Ideally experience with enterprise search platforms (preferably Elasticsearch)
Good understanding of the agile software development process.
Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving, good communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have: Java and spring boot experience
