Hello Freelancer,

for an innovative project within the Bosch Group we are currently looking for an experienced Software Integration Engineer for embedded Linux environments.
The project will provide system image “recipes” to deliver a functional Linux-based image/distribution in the context of SDV (Software Defined Vehicle), by pulling together individual contributons from the SDV and the larger OSS community.

Project scope
• Start: Asap for 12 months
• Workload: %
• 100% remote
• Project language: English

Skills and experience
• Git + github.com (esp. OSS Workflow would be good!)
• Visual Studio Code + / GitHub Codespaces
• General Linux scripting (bash) -> BitBake/Yocto/OpenEmbedded experience ++
• Optional:
• Basic Rust programming, GoLang / C++
• Embedded experience
• Knowledge in Automotive (technology) industry (Software-Update of ECUs, OTA, maybe CAN-BUS Vehicle Data Signals)

Tasks
Continuous Integration of Eclipse SDV Open source projects to a working system image for
• Exchange with the relevant Open Source Projects about about upcoming changes
• Integrating several individual components and various other open-source projects to a ready-to-use development environment for new and existing components (e.g. Integration of Eclipse SommR into the Leda stack)
• Define a testing strategy and conduct tests to optimize the system image for use on virtualized environments (yocto Linux and other), RasperryPi and defined ARM64-based automotive HW.
