Start: ASAP
Location: Munich (3 days per week on site – 2 days remote) but open to remote working with occasional site visits. Ideally someone who is already in Germany
LOA: 6 months contract
Language: English
Project: Car Interior (Power window switch, Parking Break Switch – Plastic Components)
Background in Mechanical Design – Plastic moulding (CATIA)
Experience in Automotive Applications (Interior)
Experience working with Premium OEM’s – BMW, AUDI, Daimler
Work Split:
25% Mechanical Design (CATIA)
25% Customer Discussion (BMW)
30% Coordination with Design Team from Japan
20% Supplier / Manufacturing Communication
Main Tasks:
Your tasks
• Technical and stylistic solutions for electromechanical interior components in the vehicle interior (appearance, ergonomics, acoustics)
• Interface between our European automotive customers and the development, quality and production departments involved in Japan, Korea and China as well as suppliers and production sites in Europe
• Providing technical know-how to the local project team during all phases of development, starting from requirements management, development of prototypes and series parts to testing of the components and series production
• Design and construction of prototypes for proof of concept and customer demonstrations
your profile
• Successfully completed engineering studies in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering
• Sound experience in the development and testing of electronic or electromechanical components, ideally in the automotive sector
• Application knowledge of 3D design tools (CATIA, NX)
• Customer and solution-oriented thinking, good communication skills and experience in driving technical projects
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
• Willingness to travel to our customer sites and development sites
