for my client I am looking for a Senior Database Administrator (m/f/d) with the following requirements:General Data:
Start: asap
Location: Essen and Remote
Duration: 6 MM +
Capacity: Fulltime
Tasks:
You as an experienced database administrator will support the project team in getting the on-premise databases migrated into cloud.
You are able to understand and review the current database infrastructure, you will define the best way how to migrate .
Target databases are Aurora, PostgreSQL, EDB, OracleRDS, MongoDB depending on individual use cases. You will support the migration and make sure that the business impact is as less as possible.
Guide development squads and support several teams in regards to database design and database security requirements.
Perform troubleshooting, database tuning and database support in non-prod and prod environments after go-live.
Develop own best migration practices and document key procedures for your DBA peers and project manager.
Coach developers on data handling share knowledge.
Interact with vendor support (for bug fixes and troubleshooting) and drive escalations if needed.
Review database models, application- and infrastructure designs to increase stability, robustness.
Competences:
-Strong Experience in database technologies (relational and non-relational like Oracle, PostgreSQL, EDB, Mongo …)
-Experience in database cloud migration projects
-Experience in cloud technologies (Amazon technology, DMS, SCT, DMA)
-Experienced in automation (Terraform)
