Skills:
? Understanding and experience of software methodologies, processes and tooling
? Experience in managing software engineering teams
? Experience in managing transformation and consolidation in software development
? General IT project management skills
? Experience with creating business cases and impact assessments
? Knowledge of the RESPC environment is an added bonus
Role Description:
? Understand RESPC engineering ecosystem
? Understand the software engineering tooling and processes used by all development
teams
? Understand dependencies and business impacts of using those tools and processes
? Understand schedule of releases for each customer/internal facing solution and platform
? Work to align tooling (especially LMAs, and freeware and other nonstrategic tools)
? Drive improvements and adaption of standardized tooling for the mandatory Client tool
categories aligned to Client's "everything to Github strategy"
? Work to draft any step-out/step-back plans for those mandatory tooling which cannot be
adopted.
? Make allowances for the introduction of code scanning (SonarQube/Whitesource) and
InfoSec/IRM/Compliance related approvals prior to go-live.
? Make allowances for the introduction of penetration testing by Client's CyberDefence
team and remediation for major releases of critical business platforms and applications.
? Work with Client software engineering focals to plan the move and migration of the
software development tooling and processes so that there is minimal impact to
Production.
? Liaise with Client SE portfolio to agree acceptable arrangements for deployment
cadence in AWS@Client.
? Understand and embed the Client ORF (operational risk framework) in AWS@Client
which ensures compliance is embedded within new newly developed applications.
