For our customer a big pharmaceutical company situated in Kaiseraugst we are searching for a highly qualified Java Developer (m/w/d)
Backgound:
As a part of Pharma Informatics, the IPPS informatics team is co-creating a better future for patients through innovative technology and information working together with Global Product Strategy (Strategic Marketing), Pharma Development Medical Affairs, and Pharma Partnering Business partners.
We are an agile organization looking for cross functional innovative and integrated solutions based on great collaboration.
The digital product is being developed to support a known business process integrating with other initiatives being developed. The process is literature review which is part of evidence generation. To be effective in this space, we are looking for team members who are willing to experiment, to connect with new applications for smart algorithms/AI, to rework and refactor as different capabilities are developed, and have an open mind when it comes to working with new challenges.
The preferred candidate will apply technical knowledge to create robust, operational and high quality software. They will work with the team to achieve goals and constructively provide feedback to ensure process and technical excellence.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Participate in the team ceremonies - planning, dailies, retros and reviews
* Identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Assess user stories, tasks and code to identify edge cases, suggest solutions and solve problems, and to ensure the quality of the software
* Work with other developers, BA, designers and testers throughout the delivery process
* Work with the team to develop, review, test & debug code so that it is robust, high quality and achieves the sprint goals
* Completes unit testing to identify and fix programming errors.
* Uses common testing and software documentation tools.
* Writes software documentation guides.
* Supports the resolution of incidents raised against productive code.
Must haves:
* Min. Bachelor degree Informatics or similar Certification
* Min. 5+ years experience as Developer preferred in the pharmaceutical industry
* Hands-on experience with Java and Spring
* Hands-on technical experience in JPA, boot, LDAP, SQL, gradle, docker
* Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies
* Fluency in English (written and spoken)
* Teamplayer with ability to self-organize and be able to do operative tasks without too much supervision
Nice to Haves:
* * Technical experience of kotlin, PostgreSQL, CQRS, gitlab CI, keycloak, flyway, react, kubernetes
* Previous Pharma experience
